We take 50% deposit on all orders over €50 (full payment on all orders below €50) to secure your date. Deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable.  An order is not confirmed until the deposit is paid. We cannot hold a date without a deposit.

Balance of your cake order is then payable three days before the collection date, you will receive a payment link for this. If the cake is ordered in less than one week before the collection date, full payment is required upfront.

Once the deposit is paid you are then confirmed on that date and have agreed to our Terms & Conditions. You will receive confirmation of this from us. Any changes in date, design or quantities in your order we do need to be notified as soon as you are aware, and while we will make sure to accomadate this at all times, sometimes it may not be possible or incur a further charge (higher quantities, design change). If this is the case, a new invoice will need to be issued & you original deposit will still stand if the material information of the order is unchanged. Please note some charges may occur if items have already been purchased for original order.

All quotes are only valid for ONE WEEK.

Cancellation Policy

If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your order, please note again that deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable. If it’s a case where final payment has been made and you need to cancel or postpone your occasion, please note your full payment is non-refundable & non-transferable. (Once cancellation is after this has fallen due).  

When a deposit is paid, it is solely for that quote agreed. Please note that full payment if under €50 is required on all treat items and the above cancellation policy also applies. Full Payment of our cannot be refunded or transferred to another date or occasion regardless of timeline given or reason.

Collection of your cake

Once your cake is collected from our premises, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your cake. We advise that your cake should be transported either in the boot or the front passenger footwell (not a seat) of your vehicle where it cannot slide or tilt to one side. Excessive heat will cause the cake to melt so you are advised to arrive with your car cool.

Please ensure your vehicle is cool and have an Aircon on before collection. Once collected, transfer straight away to the fridge when you get home. Do not stop off on the way home even for a few minutes. Please note Bakes By Tara takes no responsibility once the cake has left our premises.

How to store your cake

Our cakes are finished in American Buttercream and therefore must be STORED IN THE FRIDGE. On the day of celebration remove your cake from the fridge approx 1/2 hours before serving, longer for Belgian Chocolate Biscuit.

All cakes are packaged with a care guide and cutting guide to help you ensure you keep you cake in the best condition and achieve the most slices from your cake when cutting it.

Allergens – these must be notified to us at the time of ordering. Please see our Allergen page. We use dairy, wheat, nuts, barley, eggs, and soy in our kitchen. Our cakes, therefore, aren’t suitable for anyone with allergies.
